The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.
Perform on-site radiological and electrocardiogram examinations as required by the proper authority.
Operate and maintain portable digital X-ray equipment to safely perform high-quality diagnostic imaging within a secure correctional environment.
Instantly verify image quality and securely transmit digital diagnostic images electronically to radiologists for interpretation, eliminating the need for physical film.
Transport and maneuver mobile imaging units to various housing units and medical clinics within the facility while strictly adhering to institutional security and safety protocols."
Keep equipment and work area clean; utilize appropriate sanitation methods.
Arrange for prompt interpretation of x-rays as required or required in an emergency or other applicable situations.
Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records.
Accurately and maintain daily x-ray logs, x-ray identification cards of standard narrative, statistical, summary and/or operational records, reports, and logs and properly process all reports and documents in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent or greater.
Must have completed an accredited associate degree program
Must have passed the national ARRT certification exam
A valid driver's license is required.
Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
